What's In It For Me

This course is for cleaning staff to develop the necessary skills and knowledge to interact with clients and customers with quality service and professionalism, during their course of work. Learners will know how to provide quality services through projection of positive image, maintaining good customer relationships and good service delivery.

Course Overview

Customer Management-Provide Quality Services-Level 1 is a CORE module required for every cleaning staff complying with the Progressive Wage Model. The Skill Code is EVS-CFC-1005-1.1.

It is applicable to PWM Job Level - General Cleaner / Indoor Cleaner / Outdoor Cleaner / Healthcare Cleaner / Restroom Cleaner / Table-Top Cleaner / Dishwasher / Refuse Collector.


Course Duration

1 day consisting of 8 hours of training and 0.75 hour of assessment


Course Outline

After completing the Customer Management-Provide Quality Services-Level 1 training, the learner will possess the knowledge and skills in the following areas.

  1. Personal grooming
  2. Proper hygiene standards
  3. Project of positive image
  4. Maintaining good interpersonal relationships with customers
  5. Proper way of communicating with customers
  6. Identifying triggers of service challenges
  7. Handling service challengers
  8. Responding to customers’ needs
  9. Appropriate attitude when delivering customer service

Certification Obtained and Conferred by

Successful learner will receive a WSQ Statement of Attainment for Customer Management-Provide Quality Services-Level 1 with Skill Code EVS-CFC-1005-1.1.


Pre-requisites
  1. Be new entrants to the cleaning industry or existing cleaners who have not taken this course before.
  2. Have undergone job orientation to learn about work roles, responsibilities, limitations, workplace safety and health practices.
  3. Be able to read, listen and speak English to a proficiency level equivalent to Employability Skills System (ESS) Literacy Level 1 so as to understand the training.
  4. Possess numeracy skills to a proficiency level equivalent to Employability Skills System (ESS) Numeracy Level 1.
  5. Courseware is provided. Please bring along pen.
  6. Smartphone to scan SingPass QR code for attendance is required,

Funding Information

  1. Up to 70% Course Fee Funding by SSG for Singaporeans and PRs only and this is applied by us upon enrolment.
  2. For company-sponsored trainees, the trainee must have a employer-employee relationship & CPF contribution. 
  3. Trainees are funded only once for each module and only upon successful completion of the module.
  4. You pay us the Nett Course Fee after funding, by the due date.
  5. If these conditions are not met, or for any reason SSG rejects or reduces the training grant, the individual trainee or sponsoring company of the trainee will have to reimburse the shortfall to us.
  6. For Training courses, employers can submit claims for Absentee Payroll, at $4.50 per hour, capped at $100,000 per enterprise (UEN) per calendar year. Funding is eligible for Singaporeans, Permanent Residents of Singapore and Long Term Visit Pass Plus (LTVP+) holders only.
  7. Please note there is no Absentee Payroll for Assessment-Only Pathway (AOP) because there is no training conducted.


Payment Information

  1. Individuals must make payment by cash, or utilise their SkillsFuture Credit, before the commencement of the course. 
  2. Corporate clients has 30-day credit term to make payment. Cheque payment to be made to Adepco Consultants Pte Ltd. The individuals who are sponsored by their company will not be allowed to use their SkillsFuture Credit for payment of course fees.


Post Course Funding Support

For Individuals

  1. Eligible NTUC Union members may apply for Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP) funding support after successful completion of the course. Approval and reimbursement are subject to NTUC terms and conditions.
  2. WSS-eligible trainees may receive Training Allowance and Training Commitment Award.


For company-sponsored trainees 

  1. Employers may submit claims for SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC), subject to eligibility and prevailing government requirements.
  2. Absentee Payroll (AP) claims are to be submitted by the sponsoring company after course completion and are subject to SkillsFuture Singapore terms and funding conditions.


All post course funding support are subject to approval by the respective agencies and not administered by Adepco Consultants Pte Ltd.

Trainees and companies are responsible for ensuring that all eligibility criteria, supporting documents and claim submission deadlines are met.

Adepco Consultants Pte Ltd will not be responsible for any rejected, reduced or delayed claims by external agencies.


Enrolment & Certificate

  1. Upon registration, a confirmation of enrolment will be sent. 
  2. LOA can be issued by us upon successful completion of course.
  3. SOA/ OpenCert will be issued by SSG to the learner. You may request us to provide the SOA upon receipt of full payment of course fee.
