What's In It For Me

This course will equip food handlers of both retail and non-retail food establishments with the knowledge and application skills to follow food safety and hygiene procedures and policies, as well as maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of premises.

Course Overview

Food Safety Course Level 1 is a Food Safety module required for every food handling staff complying with the Progressive Wage Model. The Skill Code is FSS-FRC-1004-1.1.

Certification Obtained and Conferred by

Successful learner will receive a WSQ Statement of Attainment for Food Safety and Hygiene- Level 1 with Skill Code FSS-FRC-1004-1.1.


Pre-requisites

Able to speak, listen and read English at a proficiency level not lower than the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification (ES WSQ) Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 3.

Funding Information


  1. Up to 70% Course Fee Funding for Singaporeans and PRs and this is applied by us upon enrolment.
  2. Employers pay us the Nett Course Fee after funding.
  3. Trainees who are Singaporean or Permanent Resident will be eligible for SSG funding, subject to approval, only upon successful completion of each module. 
  4. Trainees are funded only once for each module.
  5. If these conditions are not met, or for any reason SSG rejects or reduces the training grant, the individual trainee or sponsoring company of the trainee will have to reimburse the shortfall to us.
  6. For Training courses, employers can submit claims for Absentee Payroll, at $4.50 per hour, capped at $100,000 per enterprise (UEN) per calendar year. Funding is eligible for Singaporeans, Permanent Residents of Singapore and Long Term Visit Pass Plus (LTVP+) holders only.
  7. This course - Food Safety Course Level 1 is approved for SSG funding and Absentee Payroll.


Payment Information


  1. Individuals must make payment by cash, or utilise their SkillsFuture Credit, before the commencement of the course. 
  2. Corporate clients has 30-day credit term to make payment. Cheque payment to be made to Adepco Consultants Pte Ltd. The individuals who are sponsored by their company will not be allowed to use their SkillsFuture Credit for payment of course fees.


Enrolment Information


  1. Upon registration, a confirmation of enrolment will be sent. 
  2. LOA can be issued by us upon successful completion of course.
  3. SOA will be issued by SSG to the learner. We will send the SOA upon receipt of full payment of course fee.
